The London Eye Mystery - Siobhan Dowd

The protagonist in this book is Ted. Ted is a teenage boy with red hair. He is very smart and knows  about many things.  He has a sister who is older than him who usually disobeys rules and is (what some people might say) a rebel. Ted is interested in weather and knows a lot about it. He wants to be a meteorologist when he grows up. He usually listens to the radio weather forecast in the morning before school and the shipping forecast at night before he goes to sleep. 

I think the antagonist is the man the teenagers get a free ticket from in line for the London Eye. He tells them he bought the ticket but then got scared. When Salim disappears on the London Eye, Ted and his sister go tell their mom and Salim's mom about the ticket. They shouldn't have taken the ticket and let Salim go by himself. I think the antagonist is clever but will be found.

The Boxes

The protagonist is Annie. She was given two boxes from her uncle. I don't know alot about them but I do know that the uncle looks younger than he is suppose to be. No one knows what is in the boxes but Uncle Marco wants it to stay that way. I think the things in the boxes have 6 legs and claws for teeth and that they're the size of big ants. I can't wait to see what is inside the boxes.

Black Ice- by Andrew Lane

The protagonist of the book is called Sherlock Holmes. He is a quite tall person, he has a brother and he works in the residence of his family, with a not so nice housekeeper called Mrs. Eglantine. Sherlock has a tutor called Amyus Crowe, and he is also kind of a family friend to him. Sherlock is a little uncertain about things he is doing. Sometimes he is then asking Amyus Crowe about things that he is unsure about. But I think throughout the book, he will become more self concious and more confident, and I think he will also be very proud of himself. 

I think that the antagonist of the story is very smart, because he mad it happen, that somehow, when Brinell the footman,Sherlock and Amyus came in, it looked like Mycroft, Sherlock's brother, just killed the man that was sitting dead in the office chair. So in this case, the antagonist was very smart, because when Sherlock and Amyus were in the room, to figure out what the murder, (the antagonist) did, to put a dead man into the room without even being seen, he must  made up a plan for the whole situation. Because after time, they realized that in the case, that the other person that wanted to visit Mycroft was a knife made out of ice. but they also knew that the knife that Sherlock's brother had, didn't look like the knife that killed the person. So I think that the antagonist had made a plan before putting the dead man into the room, And even at the same day,Sherlock followed a mysterious person all the way to the waterloo bridge, because he thought that that man was the one who killed the man in the room, but when the man realized that Sherlock followed him, he wanted to talk to him, but Sherlock didn't want to tell him why so the man said that if Sherlock brings him a kid form the streets, he will get half a crown. So far, the story looks very mysterious to me, because yet, I don't know why the man wanted a kid from Sherlock for half a crown.

 The Protagonist

The protagonist in the Greek who stole Christmas is young Nick Diamond. He is short and skinny. He is very young. He has a brother called Tim Diamond. The thing Nick loves the most is solving mysteries. He solves them and Tim gets the credit. Because Tim is a private detective. In this story Nick shows his bravery and intelligen's. He was the only one that knew the TNT was in the Christmas present. He is very poor and he lives with his brother. He has a dream to travel to Australia to meet his parents. On the end of the story Tim and Nick get the money to travel to Australia.

Characters

Sherlock Holmes is the protagonist. He is the famous detective from 221b Baker Street with a large, hawk-like nose and his everpresent hat and pipe. He is also quite tall and charming. Holmes is observant and intuitive. Watson is his sidekick and helps him out on his adventures. I think that Henry or Charles Baskerville are the antagonists because they seem really shady.

Protagonist

The protagonist in this mystery novel is a boy called Homer Winthrop. Already in the first scenes in the novel you could easily see that Homer is a shy boy who doesn't like to share his ideas and thoughts. He prefers to be alone and think by himself. That is the reason that his sister calls him a pickle. When you think of pickle you would normally think of something sour meaning that Homer's mood was as sour as a pickle. So far I haven't found out what his physical appearance is but I infer that he is skinny and that his body is hunched. As I said, he is not an open guy who is confident in himself. People that have those characteristics in real life tend to be hunched. 

Antagonist

So far, there is no clear antagonist in the novel but I have an idea who it might be judging by the title and by what happened in the novel so far. I believe that the antagonist is supernatural because the place where the whole book will take place. That place is an old house of Homer's dad and mom. Homer only went to that house once when he was a small baby and that was the time when his father was still living. This is going to be the first time that Homer would be at a place where his father had been before. Since his dad is dead and this the only place where he lived in his life, there might be a lot of answers in the house regarding his death. I am guessing that there will be something supernatural preventing or at least trying to prevent Homer from finding the out the truth about his past and his father.

Protagonist and Antagonist

The name of my from the book that I am reading is Johnis. He is a very strong minded boy who has been chosen to look for 7 different books before the Horde's do (antagonists) along with 3 other people. He is around 17 years old. He is very brave and clever. Sadly, he lost his mom to the Horde because she was going to get medicine for him but was captured by the Horde. He has a crush on one of the girls he is finding all 7 books with her name is Silvie. He is a HUGE risk-taker who knows what he is doing.


The towns people refer to Johnis as his hero because he is saving the town from the Horde. He is not allowed to open the books or touch the books when he is bleeding. Otherwise a dark secret will come out and may kill him. At least that is what the Roush tell him. The Roush are bat like creatures who are only about a foot tall. They are invisible creatures and Johnis and his team are the only people who can see them because they are their leaders.



The antagonist of this story is called the Horde, which I mentioned earlier. I don't know a lot about them yet but what I do know is that they captured Johnis' mother and kept her hostage. They are "competing" against Johnis and his team. There compition is to get all 7 books  before the Horde do.  I think that they are huge dragon and bat like creatures.
