Everyone thought she was a freak so she has kept her secret to herself. Inkspell by Cornelia Funke

Name of Book: Inkspell
Author: Cornelia Funke
Pages read: 560 out of 635 (I started reading while I was reading my mystery book)

Summary:
Meggie, a thirteen year old girl, has a strange talent of reading people or animals into books when she is reading aloud. She inherited this talent from her father who she calls Mo. When she was little her father was reading a book called "Inkheart" aloud and Meggie's mother disappeared into the book. When someone reads a person into a book there is always something that comes out of the book to replace the person or animal who is gone so three characters from Inkheart appeared: Dustfinger; a fire-eater, Capricorn, an evil ruler and Basta. When, Darius reads Inkheart to Capricorn he reads Meggie's mother but without her voice which stayed in Inkheart.

Now, that Meggie lives with both her mother and father her mother tells her stories of the world she has been in by writing in notebooks. Meggie is fascinated by the world of Inkheart and the more Meggie knows about the Inkworld the angrier Mo gets. Later, Farid, a boy who Darius read from a story, comes to Elinor's house (Meggie's aunt's house which she and her family and Darius are currently staying in). Dustfinger was read back into the Inkworld by Orpheus (another book reader) and Farid decides to follow him. He asks Meggie to read him into the Inkworld but Meggie says that she will go too. The next night she reads the passage that Orpheus used to read Dustfinger into the Inkworld but she just added three words to a sentence which were "and the girl". When Meggie and Farid appeared in the Inkworld, Meggie is at the same tame thrilled but also sad that she left her home.

Mo and Meggie's mother realize what has happened and a few days later Basta and Mortola(Capricorn's mother) find them. Orpheus reads them into the Inkworld and Mo almost dies from his injuries. Meggie stays with Fengolio (the writer of Inkheart) for a few days. Meggie decides to find her parents but everyone in the Inkworld thinks that her father is the Bluejay robber because Fenoglio used Mo to base his character on. Before Meggie gets to him he is taken to the Adderhead's (an evil ruler) castle and is put into a dungeon. Fenoglio sends a letter to Meggie saying that she should read a passage aloud to change what will happen in the story so her parents don't die. She reads only part of it and then is taken into the Adderhead's castle too. She follows Fenoglio's advice and tells the Adderhead that Mo can make a book that will keep him alive forever and he lets Meggie stay in the dungeon together with her father so they could make the book faster.

When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit

Title: When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit
Author: Judith Kerr
Number of pages: 191
Pages read: 70

The book "When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit" is (auto)biography by Judith Kerr. So far I love the book, but it can make you cry. Anna and her family are from Berlin, Germany and they lived there their whole life. One day their father was force to go to Switzerland because of the democratic situation in Germany. Anna and her family were Jews and in Germany Hitler was about to become the new leader. This was really bad for any Jew because Hitler would immediately send them to jail and take their passports. Two days before the elections Anna, her older brother Max and their Mom went to Switzerland too. They start to go to a new school where everything is much different. The main problem is that their father can't find a job there. Soon they will be forced to move again. It's good that they moved from Germany. If they didn't move all of their things would be gone, the kids wouldn't be able to go to school, parents would go to jail and their whole life would be ruined. I can't wait to read more and see what will happen with Anna's life. Will they ever go back to Germany? Where will they move next?

The First Three Minutes

The First Three Minutes

Athour: Stephen Weinberg
Pages:224
Pages Read: 43

Stephen Weinberg a noble prize laureate and a Harvard education in theoretical physics shows the fundamental image of what we consider now the "Big Bang Theory". During my reading a read about the controversy of the big bang theory and the religious views of the universe, also I read about how scientists are studying the problem of our Genesis, or if the universe is finite or infinite. I read about the first Planck second of the universe. During my reading, (I found this very confusion) I found that there were only 4 abundant particles spread across the universe including electrons, positrons, neutrinos, and duritium particles. These particles later formed the base of our universe which are, hydrogen and helium particles. During the next state of our universe precisely one-hundredth of a second after the big bang for every thousand million electrons there was only one nuclear particle.

Seekers book

Pages Read: 104

Title: Seekers, The Last Great Wilderness (book 4)
Author: Erin Hunter
Number of pages in Book: 265

Summary: Urjak,  (shape-shifter Brown bear), Lusa (Black Bear), Kallik (Polar bear) and Tolko (brown bear) have finally reached what they all have been searching for.. a place of endless ice, huge forests and with no flat-faces (humans) and of course lots of prey to hunt, all this called the Great Last Wilderness, they all searched for this place to avoid flat face hunters with fire sticks (guns) and their black paths (roads) and their huge smoke spitting monsters (cars). To the young bears everything seems so perfect here but Urjak gets dreams about how their journey does not stop here and how he must save the wild. Lusa had the same dream as Urjak that she must save the wild and it keeps on worrying her not knowing how she could save the WHOLE wild as only a tinny black bear cub. They are starving and see a flock of geese searchign for food in the ground, only one would feed them all. Tolko is determined to get at least one but as her stalks them it is easy to detect him when they have landed in a plain are where there is not cover and they fly away, this happens about three times and then Tolko gets and idea, even tough he does not like it they got to eat. Urjak could change to a goose and be among the geese and then in the middle of the change back to a bear and catch one, Urjak does not like this idea since only he can understand how it is to be another animal. When he changed he wasn't himself... it was like he actually became that animal and forgot all about his bear past. But he tries and he ends up flying away with the geese, the flys a while seeing three bears running on the ground roaring something after the flock.... one bear white, one black and one brown... there was something important he had forgotten but he could not make out anything about these bears anymore. They fly and land by the sea which was near where they had taken off and Urjak could feel his tummy grumbled as he ate seaweed and how it filled his empty tummy, but as he east another chunk of seaweed he suddenly chokes and he can feel pain stab is throat and a sliver string hanging from his moulth. He can not breathe and blood is coming out his mouth he loses energy from panicking and there is nothing he can do... Tolko and the other two she-bears hurry and follow the direction the geese and Urjak took off in and end up by a beach not far of. They see a goose laying there with blood dripping out of his mouth. they realize it must be Urjak! They try getting the thing that is choking Urjak out of his mouth but their paws are too big. Lusa get an idea, they saw other flat-faces father away, not the kind of flat-faces who fear them and try to hurt the with fire-sticks, they seemed different. Tolko carried Urjak on his back with Kallik and Lusa helping in the sides caring Urjak which they forced to turn into a flat-face so the other flat-faces  would maybe help him, Tolko does not like the idea to take Urjak to the flat-face den which the saw a flat-face pup that was hurt went into and when he came back out he seemed healed again.. but would they heal Urjak? when they finally arrive the put Urjak by the door and call outside not knowing if the flat-faces would understand. They quickly hide in the bushes waiting for the flat-face to come out and finally a long male flat-face comes out and looks shocked when seeing Urjak the carries him inside. Urjak wakes up being in a room with soft flat-face pelts all around him and a big pain in his throat, a old man comes in and say he will be all right and that he had gotten an fishing line into his throat and that the hook had been stuck in his throat but is now taken out. The man knew directly that Urjak was not a normal human and realizes Urjak is a bear but he is not surprised since he him self can change into only one animal, a snow rabbit but he is fascinated about how Urjak is a shape shifter. Urjak feels calm seeing this man was also special and that he was wise and understood but he must really get back to his friends. Tolko realizes he does not need to take care of everyone and he has longed to go the the huge forest even though it means leaving his friends. As Lusa, Kallik and him settles down to rest in the edge of the flat-face dens to wait if Urjak comes out he decides to tell Kallik and Lusa the he will leave. Lusa begs him to stay at least a bit longer but Kallik understands that the forest is calling him and she gets the same feeling when she smells the snow and ice which is calling her, which makes her sad to know Lusa will never understand that since she was born and raise up in some kind of Flat-face place in something called a Bear-Bowl (in a zoo). Kallik wonders how she will say that she will also leave when the ice comes a bit closer to the beach so she can swim over there alone. How will Lusa take that they all must go separate ways at last and will they ever meet again when they split up? the questions where buzzing in Kallik's head.

Gods of Manhattan By Scott Mebus

The total number of pages in this book is 340 pages.
The kids have finally discovered why things have gone crazy in Manhattan. They spoke with their gods and They answered them that THEY were the gods of Manhattan. I dont have the book with me because I forgot their names so I will go on like this. One kid was practising his kung-fu skills and that caused all animals doing kung-fu. The other kid was training archery and that caused REAL archers from the past attacking the people. And the last kid Was studying history about Indians and thought that they are crazy and that caused all the Real indians panicing, attacking archers and smashing windows. So all the kids stopped the stuff they were doing and Manhattan was restored back the way it was.
