You Killed Wesley Payne

Title: You Killed Wesley Payne, Author: Sean Beaudoin, Number of pages read/total: 328/328. 

The main character has many obstacles on the way to finding out who killed Wesley Payne, but one major one is when he starts falling in love with Wesley Payne's sister Macy but because she was a client he couldn't be with her. This specific example has been shown on page 157 of the book. The second obstacle that the main character Delton has gone over was when he had found the body of Wesley Payne in his basement and when he turned the body was missing but he really needed it to find out if he actually did commit suicide or did somebody kill him. This example is shown on page 111 of the book. When he lost the body he went up to his dad asking, "Hey, Dad. Did you see anything weird go by?".

The two obstacles that the Mr. Paroit (main character) runs into through the story, are hard to tell since, the author in the book doesn't just  reveal most of the characters feelings, especially hes. I think that one of the obstacles that Mr.Paroit runs into is, that he has to figure out whether the people who are explaining what happened on the day of the murder are actually right. And the second obstacle would be that he has to imagine the scene of the murder, how it happened and ext., since the crime took place 16 years ago. Mr.Poirot trusts himself in doing hes job and doesn't reveal any other feelings in this whole book. So, that the quote that I found, where Mr.Pairot sees Carla Lemarchant for the first time, and when she explains him what she wants him to do, this is hes quote.
Quote: "One does not know, you know, employ merely the muscles. I do not need to bend and measure the footprints and pick up the cigarette end and examine the bend blats of grass. It s enough for me to sit back in my chair and think. It is this- he tapped hes egg shaped head- this, that functions."

The main character and protagonist of my novel is Mr. Hastings. He has grey hair, and it is starting to get thin so he brushes it over to one side of his head. Example 1: "Well, I never," he exclaimed. "If it isn't Captain Hastings back from the wilds of the what do you call it! Quite like old days seeing you hare with Monsieur Poirot. You're looking well, too. Just a little bit thin on top, eh? Well, that's what we're all coming to. I'm the same." I winced slightly. I was under the impression that owing to the careful way I brushed my hair across the top of my head that thinness referred to by Japp was quite unnoticeable. Page 9 and 10. Example 2: "The hot summers out there naturally cause the hair to fall out a bit." Page 11. He is very anxious about this, and he hates when people try to talk about his hair. He is pretty touchy about his hair, as well. Example 1: "Well," I said, slightly recovering my temper. (I admit that I am touchy about the thinness of my hair.) Page 12. Example 2: "Poirot," I roared. "Once and for all I will have nothing to do with the beastly inventions of your confounded hairdresser. What's the matter with the top of my head?"

The setting is in June 1935 in England. The main character is visiting his old friend, Hercule Poirot, after living in South America for six months and the setting is a little gloomy because of the threatening letter Hercule Poirot had received earlier.

This week I was very successful.  I read 250 pages out of 307. I am very interested in the book, and I am very happy that I chose this book. In my book, the main character is Victoria, the girl that is missing. The whole story is turning around her, because she is missing and Sherlock, is trying to solve her case. Victoria, seems furious, as her family members, especially her dad. She is neutral, because she doesn't really change by this point. Sherlock, is the one that is looking for her, and is trying to solve her case. He is brave, and pretty smart to find out the answer, who kidnapped the girl, and were she is now. He is a protagonist, because he is the Hero of this story. He is the good one that is trying to find Victoria. The Antagonist in this book, are the kidnappers. They stole Victoria, because she is a family member of a wealthy family, and they want to get money in order to give Victoria back to her family.  The kidnapper, think he could get everything he wants, just because he has Victoria in his hands. But, it doesn't seem so. Victoria's father doesn't want to give any money, for his daughter. He thinks he is powerful enough to get his daughter with ought any money.  I really think the book is interesting, and that everyone should read it! For now I love the book!

• Sherlock Holmes (Protagonist); He usually wears tattered clothes and has dark, messy hair. He is very decisive, and is willing to do whatever it takes to get something done. -It hurts to say it out loud Irene should have been much more than that.She is the the most wonderful person he has ever met, but his involvement in the Whitechapel murder case almost got her killed. It would be terribly wrong to keep bringing her into danger - he must be strong about that These days, he tries not to think of her. He had cut short their meetings at the Crystal Palace. She had been frequenting the hall, knowing that he would come one day to visit his father.Sherlock had told her that he had other concerns in life these days and was too busy to spend any time with her. He'd nearly lost his composure and had to look away. There had been tears in her eyes. -He is thinking of the horrific fall of the trapeze star. Even as he questions though he should even be involved a plan is forming in his head.

Protagonist: Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes is the main character of this book who is working on this case to find out what creature the hound would be and who is spying after Sir Henry Baskerville. 

• He is very observant and resourceful.

ex) when he is concluding the facts that he has came up with about Dr. James Mortimer by observing his staff and looking through the Medical Directory book - house surgeon/physician, Left CCH five years ago, is under thirty, who owns a dog. 

• His brain works fast and he is good at finding relation of things.

ex) Sir Henry Baskerville receives an envelope and it was written by cutting and pasting the words from the newspaper except for a word. Sherlock Holmes realizes that the words were cut off from The Times newspaper of the day before, using nail scissors and pasting with gum. 

ex) Examined that the envelope was made in an hotel. Holmes was able to say that by seeing the ink of the word. 

Antagonist: Unknown

Antagonist is the one who sent the warning envelope to Sir Henry Baskerville and the one who is very 'interested' in his movements.

• He is a clever man.

ex) "I was looking out for loiterers in the street, but I saw none. We are dealing with a clever man, Watson. This matter cuts very deep,-" (Sherlock Holmes)

ex) The character who is possibly the antagonist of the book has found out that Sir Henry Baskerville is going to the Northumberland Hotel the day before Sir Baskerville has actually went to the hotel while no one could have known it since he decided that he was going to stay in the hotel after he met Dr Mortimer.

My thoughts

Sometimes the text was a little difficult that I had to read to over several times in order to understand what it was meaning.
