"The big Four"

So in my second post I will be talking about the protagonists and the antagonists in this book. So basically the main character, Hastings, and Hercule Poirot are the protagonists and "The Big Four" are the antagonists. The physical features of Hastings are unknown but my opinion of him is that he is smart and his deductive skills are fine, but not as good as Poirot's. Poirot has an egg shaped head, he has green eyes and he is short. Poirot many influential friends, mostly because his skills are in great demand all over the world. "The Big Four" is a group of four people. Poirot has discovered the first member of the group which is Li Chang Yen. Li Chang Yen is a member of Chinese underground, he is very rich and dangerous because anybody who tried to reveal something about him has been murdered. The second member of the mysterious group is an American that Poirot has not discovered yet, the third member is a Frenchwoman and the fourth is the murderer, the one who kills everybody who tries to reveal something about the four. Their physical features are unknown. There is another character whose name is Mr. Ingles. He is an acquaintance of Poirot's and he knows nearly everything about Chinese underground. He shared his knowledge of Li Chang Yen with Hastings and Poirot. And then a letter came from a man who wanted to reveal something about the Chinese criminal, but when they got to the man it was too late. He's been murdered.

O JERUSALEM

Hello dear blog readers! I am, as you already know, reading a book called "O Jerusalem" by Laurie R. King. The book is descent, but nothing really spectacular happens so far. I must admit, that I would give this book nothing more than a ok 6/10. Anyways, today I will be sharing the protagonists and the antagonists of my story. This book is very unique, because it does not have a direct antagonist, but instead it has many minor ones, and many of the things prevent them from succeeding are linked to nature and the elements. In that case, it will be hard to describe them, but I will list some, and give as much information as possible, and as referred to in the book. After all, this is a mystery novel, so nothing is really showing itself yet, but after a while, probably to the end of the novel, things will become more clear and obvious. Here are the three main protagonists:

Mary Russel. Mary Russel is the main character in this book, and everything in the story is explained form her point of view, which is not necessarily always correct. She is young, only 19 years old, and she is the apprentice of the one and only Sherlock Holmes. She seems very quiet and cautious, because she is basically wanted, and she is in a Muslim territory, which was at that time dangerous if you were not a Muslim, particularly in such a territory like the Gaza strip, were conflicts and danger can happen. She seems to be very loyal to Sherlock, even though at certain critical points in the story, she doubts his actions, and see's him as a naive person, but of course, Sherlock always thinks of his actions before actually doing them.

Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock is very smart, and is very experienced too. As previously mentioned, he is very wise, and I do have an impression that he can manipulate people to act in the way he wants to, which makes him a very unique and skillful person. His age is never mentioned, but I think it is logical to assume that he is relatively old, because of his actions and his skill.

Ali and Mouhamed. These two characters are important to the story. The two guys are the guides of the two travelers. They are described as very strong, and they are also very tough. The two seem to collaborate with each other almost perfectly, and during the first encounter with Mary and Sherlock, they seem awkward and dangerous. They were hired by Mycroft, Sherlocks brother, to guide them during their stay in Palestine and Gaza. Here are some of the protagonists:

The 1st World War. The reason that Mary ans Sherlock needed to escape to Palestine, was because of the war. They wanted to be safe from the violence,  and they were being hunted down by a organization, that is never fully explained why, and were the organization is. This remains a mystery.

Tensions. There are many factors slowing down the travelers that are headed to Jerusalem. Many ethnic tensions between groups are rising, and people are become very aggressive and mysterious.

Desert. The desert is another physical obstacle between Palestine and Jerusalem. It is mentioned that the heat was un-bearable, and that people were feeling sick.

English authorities. The BEF, also known as the British expeditionary forces, were governing the territory of Gaza at the time. Of course, the two entered the territory illegally, so if caught, they would be imprisoned and they would go to jail.

In general, there is still much more to un-cover about the story. The story is descent, but I do not find anything extraordinary with the story. Thank you for reading!

The Justice Hall- Characters

Hello Dear People of the 7th Grade

Th book I am reading is The Justice Hall by Laurie R. King. This book has 331 pages. The protagonists in this story are Sherlock Holmes and Mary Russel. Sherlock and Mary are both very knowledgeable,observant and adventurous. Sherlock is witty and sharp. Unlike Sherlock, Mary is very kind. Both these characters can be impatient when they don't have a mystery to solve, they go slightly nuts and basically torture themselves. It seems as if Mary has long hair because it took a long time for her hair to air dry in the story. There is not much of a description of how the protagonists look as this is the 6th book in the series and I am sure at some point in earlier books the author described how Mary and Sherlock looked. The author has not told us yet who the antagonist is but seems as if the antagonist has something to do with the Justice Hall because one of the character said that they have to sacrifice because the "Justice Hall" won't let them leave. I would guess that the antagonist is smart because they almost managed to convince Mary that there is not much point in trying to stop the character that wants to sacrifice themselves.

I'd Tell You I love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You #2

Next blog post about ITYILYBTIHTKY--actually, no, using an acronym is worse. Never mind that.

Anyway, this is my second blog post about I'd Tell You I love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You, my mystery book for this quarter. The protagonist, Cammie, seems very resilient in wanting to be a spy at her school. I actually don't like her character that much, she seems a little bit one-dimensional. She hasn't been given a face yet, except for brown hair and a lot of acne, apparently. The supporting characters are more developed than she is, but I suppose I'll get  little more development later in the book. Who knows. My 'true' antagonist hasn't really been revealed yet,  but I'm excited to see what happens!

The Naturals

For my book project I'm reading The Naturals. 
The protagonist's name is Cassie. She has a talent for looking at people and being able to figure out everything about them. Cassie is very brave, and loves adventures. But if the murderer who murdered her mom is after her, who knows what will happen? She and her friends will try to help Cassie, but will they crack the case before it's too late?

The Hound of the Baskervilles #2

Hi guys! As you already might know the book that I'm reading is called "The Hound of the Baskervilles" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I read 106 pages out of 203.
The protagonists of this story are Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. The author doesn't really  describe their physical feature.  The only things that the author mentions are that Sherlock Holmes is wearing a cape and smokes a cigar and not much about Dr. Watson. He also says that they are both middle-age. I think they are both really kind and they want to help others because they are helping solving a case for nothing. I also think that Sherlock Holmes is a great observer and that he is very knowledgeable because he could tell from what year a letter was by just looking at the paper and he was able to figure out a lot of things about Dr. Mortimer (read my last post to find out who Dr. Mortimer is)  by just looking at his walking stick. Dr. Watson is a loyal man that always helps Homes in his cases and he's a caring person too.
In those 106 pages that I read the antagonist is unknown. The only problem that they are facing is finding out how Sir Charles died and till now nobody tried to stop them so that's why I'm saying the antagonist is unknown.
