Title: The Million-Dollar Throw
Author: Mike Lupica
Genre:Sports
Pages:456
Since Abby has left from Nate's school he has been holding up pretty good. He had his first game this Saturday, Nate played pretty good in the first 2 quarters but then in the rest of the game he didn't play as good as he usually does. What I have noticed is that when every he is relaxed and not focused on his family and friends he plays like "Brady". But when he focuses to hard on how he play and he beats himself down when he makes one bad throw the whole rest of the game is messed up for him.
Also he talked to his mom about the throw. But not about the excitement of it, the chance to be on national television or the chance to be famous. The money part. Nate's mom was very honest with him and did tell him that the million dollars would help them live their lives easier with more family time. But if he didn't make it, nothing would change. Nobody would be disappointed in him or mad at him for not making it. Its a fat chance that he will make it but there is also the chance that he will miss.
From the chapters that I read this conversation with the two of them was the highlight.
