Title of the book: The House of The Scorpion

In the book "The House of The Scorpion" by Nancy Farmer the conflict is man.vs.man. Matt the main character deals with a lot of judgement, pain, confinement and cruelty from others around him. Those are just some of the cruel things that happen to clones in that time. For one example when El Patron found out Matt was his lost clone he ordered the servants to take proper care Matt. But since he is a clone the servents threw him in a chicken pen, fed him little and beat him. The main conflict in this novel is man.vs.fate. Matt finds out that he was made so that when the old drug lord El Patron was dying, he could take Matt's healthy and young organs. This scares Matt and he is confused due to the fact that El Patron has always loved him.
One obstacles that Matt faced is that after six months of being alone and ignored Matt stopped talking. He tried and tried to speak but no words would come out. This made it difficult for him to have interaction with other people and learn new things
Another obstacle Matt experiences is that no one would belive he didn't killed his befriends dog "Furball".
