The central question of this book is: Will Mia go to the prom with her boyfriend or NOT?! You would think that this would be a fairly easy question to resolve but as it happens it is not--not least on account of the proletariat uprising. And believe it or not, it isn't even predictable. Well, the ending is predictable, but you won't have any idea how you're going to get there. When life feels hard I find it can be quite refreshing to get in the mind of a self-absorbed teenager and pretend that nothing matters except the prom. This book is really quite delightful. I fully recommend it to anyone who needs to relax and become someone else. The book pushes you all the way to the end and when you finish it you are in a way sorry and sad that you did! It is such a great book and it deserves to be honored!
