Title: Hero
Author: Mike Lupica
Genre: Fantasy
I am still reading the Catcher in The Rye but I recently have started to read Hero by Mike Lupica. It is a great book, a one of a kind. I just can't put it down. Tons of people say that they cant put the book down and as many of you know they are just finding a way to have a good comment but i am serious. It is SO good, I even started reading through a class.
In the first chapter they introduce a man ( Tom Harriman) who works for the president and stops all the bad guys ( the bads). He works by himself, so it starts with him telling me about himself and his son Zach who is back home waiting for him to come back from a trip to catch a bad guy. Tom goes to get the guy but as he's walking into the hightech building with tons of guard i noticed he had super powers. He could jump two floors of a building from the ground, he practically had night vision goggles in his eyes and he could punch brick walls without having bleeding hands. So he easily got the bad guy and had a jet plane waiting for him and all Tom can think about is getting back home to his wife and Zach, his son. Thats when the chapter ends and transitions to Zachs life but suddenly when zach gets back home from school he finds out that his dad dies. This changes Zach's life forever. This is the most important part of the book this is where it all starts.
Zach believes that the "accident" isnt a accident he thinks that someone sabotaged his dads plane and he want to find out who did it. Throughout his search for clues he is discovering his super powers inherited from his dad. One night he went to the rezevour(in New York) alone, to run in the rezevour at night is like begging to be mugged but he wasnt scared at all. Suddenly from his "nightvision" goggles he sees a man in the bushes and a lady running. He knew the man was going to do something bad. So he slowly walked up and stared straight in to the man's eyes. The man ran, Zach just stared down a perv or a mugger!
If i were you order this book right now or get it straight to your ipad now, I downloaded it to my ipad the second i heard about it. I swear im not lying.
