There is a lot that has happened in the book. Later on in Christmas evening the girls put on a show for people. Many people enjoy the show. Later on the girls receive flowers from Mr. Laurence. He had heard about the good deed that the girls did that morning and thought that was very kind of them. Mr. Laurence lives next door, he also has a son Laurie, but he is usually always studying. Jo has seen him before when their cat got lost and he returned it but when Meg came we went back home. Now it is New Years Eve. Meg and Jo are going to a dance. Meg is sad because she does not have that nice of a dress, Jo said that her dress was way better than her own. Jo has a rip and a stain hers. Jo asks if she could borrow one of Megs gloves, Meg says fine because Jo has spoil' t hers with stains, so both girls wear one good glove and one bad. Meg also got these beautiful heeled slippers, so they do there hair and get ready for the party and then off they go! Before the dance Jo is quite bored, Meg has gone and joined her friends, Jo wishes she could go over and talk with the boys but Meg said no. When the dance starts Meg is asked by a few men Jo decides to go of on the balcony. But she is actually not alone Laurie Laurence is there. Jo tries to be polite and says how do you do Mr. Laurence, he replies back how do you do Miss March. Then Laurie's says that you could just call him Laurie, Jo says, My original name is Josephine, I hate it but you can call me Jo. Laurie and Jo talk and get to know each other. Laurie says that Meg is very beautiful and has nice slippers. Later on Laurie asks Jo to dance but she says she cant because she doesn't want people to see the rip in her dress. So they decide to dance in the hall way. When Jo goes back into the room, Meg comes to her limping, she said that she has twisted her ankle. Meg sits down and they wait for Hannah to come get them. Laurie offers a ride home for them since he also lives next door. And Meg and Jo go off to ed with sweet dreams.

I think there is a lot of love going on. I feel as if Laurie might like Meg, but Meg is not so interested in him but then I am starting to feel that Jo likes him, especially when she described him in her head. So I wonder what is going to happen next?
