fruits basket

This week I have been reading the manga my favorite anime since the manga is a little different. It is about a girl, Tohru Honda, who lives in a tent and the "prince" of her school, Yuki Souma, sees her and takes her to live in his house with his cousin,Shigure. Later she meets Kyo,and finds out Yuki and him hate each other. Tohru helps fix that little by little, especially when she finds out that there family is cursed. The curse is when ever a member of the opposite gender hugs them or they go under a lot of stress certain people in the Souma family turn into the 12 animals*of the Chinese zodiac and the cat from the Chinese folk tale*.

the Chinese folk tale is one told to children about why the cat cant be in the zodiac.
it says that the king invited all the animals to a banquet and to not be late. When the rat heard this he played a trick on the cat saying it was the day after when it was. so that night the cat dreamed of a banquet that he would never get to see because of the rat.
