Diary of a Young Girl
#pages = 283. I have read 250 pages.
The problem in this book is very important. In 1942, the Nazis are occupying Holland and the Jewish girl Anne and her family, had to fled their home and hide. They lived in the " Secret Annex" of an old office building. The whole two years, they were hiding until whereabouts got betrayed to the Gestapo. Not only Anne's family had to hide but all of the families that where in this kind of problem, and there was lot of them. This problem is very big and it has major effects. The families and people had to live literally cut out from the whole world. Starving, with not enough food, having to deal with fear everyday and night, having nothing much to do except wait. Wait, until everything stops, which wouldn't be soon. I am not really sure what will happen, but I think that the war will probably still go on, even when the book finishes. Although I am not sure what Anne has wrote towards the end of the book I can't wait to find out. Tonight I will continue reading and maybe even finish the book.
Give me this book after you are done with it
ReplyDeleteThe war officially goes on for another 3 years (1945), but occupations of foreign militaries in Germany left only at 1949. Technically the war never ended in Europe though because a final peace treaty was never signed by all participants of the war. Unfortunately, the Nazi's killed Anne Frank, and 6 million other Jews... :-(
