Haddix The missing Book: 1 Found

After the ‘Janitor’ disappeared into thin air, Jonahs mom knocked on the door to see if Jonah was ok, he went out in the hallway and saw his dad and Mr.Reardon standing at the end of the hall. When Jonah got back to the office he saw that there was a file on the desk, just as the ‘janitor’ had told him. When he looked at Katherine, her face was pale and her eyes were blood shocked and it looked like she was paralyzed. He told Katherine that he would distract the grownups and that she needs to remember as much of the names as possible in the file as she could. After he had distracted her, he looked back at Katherine and saw her sitting in the chair and the file closed on the desk. When they finished the meeting, Jonah asked his sister did she remember any names, and then she said that she didn’t rely but that she got pictures. When they got home, they went straight to Chips house do download the pictures off of Katherine’s phone, and when they saw what was in the paper, they all were in shock! On the papers in the file, was titled Witnesses! Jonahs and Chips names were both on the paper with a bunch of other people. Katherine told Chip and Jonah that a ghost came inside of the office when Jonah was throwing up in the bathroom and put a file on the table and just disappeared into thin air. Jonah and Chip think that she might have blinked or that she was imagining but she convinced them somehow that it was true. Then as soon as Katherine explained to Jonah what the ghost looked like, he realized that that was the ‘janitor’ that had given him the Mountain Dew and that was in the bathroom when he was throwing up. After that they looked up some of the names on the internet and found their phone numbers and called them at random, they called 2 guys and 1 girl. When they talked to the woman, Chip talked about his adoption, and then he asked if she knows anything about were and what is her name in the FBI files, then, she just hung up. When they called one of the guys, he was an air traffic controller, they asked the same question, and he said that he had to go. When they called the other guy, he didn’t even answer.
