The Case Book of Sherlock holmes.
Title: The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes.
Author: Arthur Conan Doyle
Number of pages: 290
Number of pages read: 50
The book I’m reading this quarter is about Sherlock Holmes, and his detective work. Sherlock Holmes and him and his partner Watson who are trying to solve unexplained crimes and suicide of some people. This book is basically about how Sherlock Holmes struggles with solving mysteries, but doesn’t give up. The book starts off with the author saying that he fears that Sherlock Holmes will become like one of those popular tenors who having outlived their time, are still tempted to make repeated farewell bows to there indulgent flesh, material or imaginary. The first chapter is about how the Mazarin stone had been stolen, and how Sherlock is trying to find it. Also Watson goes to find the police and tell them everything, but after that he is nowhere to be found. In the second chapter of the book, called “Thor Bridge” is about how Holmes investigates the murder of Maria, in order to clear out the childs governess. (A governess is a girl or a women, that teaches and trains children in a private household.) Anyway, in this part of the book, Sherlock investigates and is solving the murder mystery of Neil Gibsons Maria.
I recommend this book to people who like books that can be complicated and have very long and new words, and even though it can annoy you how something is always chaining its a good book and the fun part is that you get to see how Sherlock and Watson investigate, and solve mysteries. Their detective work is simply amazing! and even though it has its ups and downs, they dont give up. I wont rate this book so far a 7/10 because its okay, but it’s not something that I read as much.
