- The Christopher Killer
- By Alane Ferguson
- What incident or conflict does the author use to begin the story? Why do you think the author chose this beginning? Explain. In the beginning of the story the conflict is that Cameryn wants to be the assistant of he father (the country coroner) but no one is sure she could manage it and if she is too young and not sure if they could believe her. I think the author put this as the first conflict because this conflict goes on through the whole book and Cameryn has to prove that she can handle this over and over again and it makes the mystery harder to solve for Cameryn.
- What were some of the events that created conflict in your text? What made these things happen? Why? First it was a dead body at a hotel which Cameryn could not handle to see and it wakes suspicions if she could actually handle solving murders and deaths, another one is the rising action that one of her best friends called Rachel gets murdered and how Cameryn is determined to find the murder when they find a Christopher medal on Rachel which means it is the same murder who murdered four other girls and got the name the Christopher Killer but not yet found.
- How does the author create suspense? Explain The author creates suspense by making all the evidence point at one person but the another one and yet you can not be sure who it is and it makes you trust no one and it also makes it very hard to guess who it could be.
- Do you like the ending of this text? Why or why not? Do you think there is more to tell? If you could change the ending of the text, what would you do? Why? I like the ending of the Christopher killer because Cameryn finally gets to meet her mother and that the ending reveals an secret that no one would EVER guess and it does not even relate to the murder but it is a very important secret to Cameryn and the you start thinking of what the physic Dr. Jewel said about seeing a little girl.... this meant he knew about this secret.. but how? If I had a chance to change this story, I would not because I like it as it is and it really makes you think in the end about the big decret that is actually sad
