The author chose an interesting beginning when Skullduggery is trying to save Davina Marr from a killer, to be able to interrogate her. There are exciting fights and not very interesting interrogations. The trained Russian assassin Tesseract was a problem, because they had to fight him. Remnants were the biggest problem in the story there was more than 2 thousand remnants. They are impossible to kill and the can only be trapped in a machine that was magicly hidden in a mountian. The author makes the story interesting by always being one step in front of the reader. You think you know whats going to happen, and then something different will happen. I liked the story's ending because it is a cliff hanger. A enemy they fought against in a previous book comes back. He is stronger than ever and smarter.
