"A Street Cat Named Bob" is a true story about how a man and his cat spend their time on the street busking. James Bowen was walking up the stairs to his flat and on the way came across a cat laying on a mat in front of someone else's flat. He wasn't sure if this cat had an owner or if it was a stray. He had a soft spot for cats and because he looked so skinny and unhealthy James decided to take him up to his flat. James wasn't a very wealthy man and hadn't had the best past but has made a good change. A few days later he decided to take the stray cat to the RSPCA to get him checked and given medicine to help him get better. The cat was given medication. James took him back to his flat and fed him...he was starving!!!! The street cat was now called Bob. One day, James had decided to let him back out because he though he would want to go live on the streets again, but no Bob just followed James everywhere, he even got on the bus with him! He realized he wasn't leaving as hard as he tried. James finally decided to keep him and also get him neutered and wanted him to get a chip. He found some places that were doing all these things for free. When Bob was getting his chip it finally hit James that he was actually his cat and his responsibility from now on, but this was a good thing because he liked and cared for Bob very much. James had started taking Bob out busking with him and people would stop and pet Bob constantly. Bob loved attention so was very pleased that all these people were giving him attention. He also loved to sit on James's shoulder's as he walked to the bus station to and from busking. When they were busking he would just sit or lay on Jame's guitar case. James and Bob had been through everything together and soon they grew to be inseparable I haven't yet finished this novel but am very excited and looking forward to. It just shows that not only dogs are a mans best friend and it shows that cats also have love and affection for their owners. It's really up to the animal and person to choose each other rather than forcing it. This is honestly one of the best novel's I've ever read and the fact that it's real makes it even better. Everyone could and would enjoy this book in my opinion :D!
You summarized it really well! No wonder it's about cats! No I want to read it more, keep up the good work!
