The author of this non-fiction book is James Bowen. James Bowen is a street musician in London, England. He had found his cat names Bob in 2007 and they have not parted since. They have a very special bond. Bowen lived in Australia for most of his childhood but wanted to follow his music dreams and went to England. He had a small band that he used to preform with in bars. He was very young at the time. He had no home and lived on the streets therefore resorting to taking drugs so that he would not feel so depressed with his life. He went to a special home for a while to control his drug use and after a while he was let out. He had earned enough money to have a small flat. Bowen started making money by playing his guitar and singing in Covent Garden in London. And to this day he is still preforming in the streets and selling his book with his fellow partner Bob.
