Suzanne Collins (age 50) was born in Hartford, Connecticut on August 10th 1962. She has 3 other siblings, she is the daughter of an air force pilot which meant she moved a lot. She spent most of her childhood in the eastern US, NYC and Brussels. She is married to an actor called Cap Pryor and has two children, she lives in Connecticut.

Suzanne graduated high school from the Alabama School of Fine Arts in 1980. Collins then enrolled at Indiana University, where she graduated in 1985 as a major in theater and telecommunications. She then went to earn a master's degree in dramatic writing from New York University.

She became a children's television artist,She worked for Nickleodeon on several shows, including: Clarissa Explains It All and The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo. Later on she published her first debut Gregor the Overlander, the first book of The Underland Chronicles. In 2008 the first book of The Hunger Games was published, The Hunger Games Trilogy has become one of the world's most popular series. The Hunger Games was made into a very popular movie in 2012. Over 9.2 million copies of The Hunger Games have been sold in the US.
