Title: Going Solo
Author: Roald Dahl
Genre: Autobiography
The book going solo is jsut getting better and more exciting by every page.
Roald Dahl was in his air fighter and was pin pointed to where his squadron was by the the captain at the last stop. The only problem was that the squardron wasnt where the man said they were. Then disaster strikes, Roald Dahl runs out of gas so he has no choice but to land, in the middle of the desert where there are tons of bolders and rocks. When he found a spot that look bolderless he started to land. As soon as the plane his the ground he hit a bolder and did a nose dive into the sand. The plane went into flames and he mnged to get out. The crash pushed his nose into his face and cracked his skull and made him temporarily blind. Luckily enough the patrol came by and saved him. He was in recovery for six months, finally when he was out of recovery he flew to his squadron in greece. Since Roald Dahl is a fairly tall guy with long lehgs he was very cramped when he landed so he needed to huge men to pull him out. Roald Dahl thought every thing was fine for the war but he was terribly wrong. The other "team" had 1000 planes including bombers and fighters while his squadron had 16 planes...TOTAL! When i read this i thought it was a joke but it was very true.
This as far as i've read, but keep following my blogs and i'll give you the rest next week.
