The main characters of this book are Coraline, and her family. By now what i have read i have noticed that Coraline likes investigating, and that whenever she can she goes outside to see new things, and have adventures. I noticed this because once rain was falling and she was really sad because she can't go outside and see new things. Also, once she came to her "second family" after eating she went outside to see the differences. Also, there is her "second mother" and I think that she is planning to do something to Coraline, because she is mysterious, and there is no second mother for people. Also, there is a cat in the story that can talk and I think he is very mean because Coraline wanted to be friends with him and he refused. 

I think Coraline will suffer in this story because of her second mother (that has buttons instead of her eyes), because in the beggining the neighbors of Coraline said that she will have a bad future and they cant see what will happen.
