Conflict and Setting of The Scorch Trials
Page 129/357
The Scorch Trials by James Dashner is set in the future in an unknown location in the U.S.A. (United States of America). The book starts off being set in an old underground tunnel-like place with a few rooms. By the middle of the book, all the characters had moved from that place because of their mission and are currently walking through a desert to get to a town that's ahead of them. The conflict is man vs. society - man being Thomas and the rest of the group and society being the W.I.C.K.E.D. team. Their goal is to be set free, but they first have to escape the trials. The group is trying to find a trans wall they can go through to get somewhere (which I don't know where yet since I didn't finish the book). Unfortunately, they will have to face many difficulties on the way to achieve their freedom.
