The Outsiders-Chapter one

I hope that everybody already started this book so I am going to explain the fist paragraph.

The book is about a boy named Ponyboy and his brothers - Darry (Darrel) and Sodapop. Ponyboy is fourteen years old.  He has long hair and greenish gray eyes. Hi love movies, books, and art makes him feel different from the other guys he knows, including his own brothers. Ponyboy's parents died in car incident.

The book also tell us for two groups. One of them is named Greasers and the other is SOCs (Social). Ponyboy is member in Greasers with other six boys: Johnny, Dally, Darry, Sodapop, Steve, and Two-Bit. The childrens in this group are poor (less than the middle class).  The other group is group with rich childrens. The group SOCs battling the other group.

At the beginning of the story Ponyboy get out of the theater but the problem is that he is alone. On the way to his band he met with SOCs. They catch them and say that they will cut his hair. Then Ponyboy started shouting and luckily for him, his friends found him. Pony said that he is O.K. although he was wounded. 

When Pony goes to bed, lying next to Sodapop, he told Pony that he is planning on asking Sandy (his girlfriend) to be his wife. However, he didn't want Darry to know yet. Ponyboy asked him to wait until he moves out. He didn't want to be alone with Darry but Sodapop reminded Pony that Darry loves him so much. But Pony isn't so sure. He didn't feel like Darry loves him. 

I will recommend this book to teenagers, however I don't know what will happen, so I can't tell much. But I think it's also good for children because the book can learn you about what is good and what - not. Actually you can take a lesson from characters and see what will happen if you didn't take a lesson.
