On chapter 4, Ponyboy and Johnny go out for a simple movie that is late at night. The unsuspecting two run in trouble with the Soc gang. Their lives were at stake and they needed to defend them selves, Ponyboy was being drowned and he passed out when the action happend, after he woke up, he saw a scared Johnny, like something unbelievable just happend. Johnny said that he stabbed one of the Socs and that he was dead. The two got so worried that they went to a guy, that supplied them with a gun and money to go somewhere. They chose to go to an old church far away from home, they jumped on a train and went there. They were exhausted and Ponyboy wanted to see Soda, things went through his head of never seeing Soda. But he couldn't go back. They got to a abandoned, webby church that spooked them out, but it is the best they can stay for the day.
