Main Conflict-The Unwanteds

The Unwanteds
Lisa McMann

The main conflict in my book is that Alex wants to see his brother again. He misses his brother a lot and feels very lonely without him. He is convinced that it was a mistake that he was chosen to be an unwanted and Aaron (his brother) was not. He has to over come to obstacles which were. There was no way out of Artimee, and another boy in Artimee was planning on killing his brother. First to overcome that there was no way out of Artimee, he had to take hours of tedious work painting a three dimensional door that he could use to go to Quill. That usually can only be done by professional artists in that world. But, he was a quick learner and quickly succeeded. The second obstacle, he overcame by working fast enough to get to Quill and his brother before the other boy (Will) got there. Will was mad at Aaron because he had told the counsel of a wrong doing that Will did. Will could have been a wanted, but because of Aaron telling on him, it changed his fate. The obstacles were connected because they both had to do with getting to Aaron. He had many other "bumps in the road" but he eventually reached his goal and succeeded in getting there before Will.
