Surviving Hitler
By Andrea Warren
I have read the book 'Surviving Hitler, and something that surprised me was when Jack's family was being separated, and brought to different Concentration Camps. At that moment, I thought that Jack was going to die, because I didn't think that he was able to survive a Concentration Camp at the age of 15. But throughout the book, he stayed strong and tough. Jack learned how to overcome the time, living in the Concentration Camp. In the Concentration Camp, no one had any rights, the only rights they had was to die. The Camp also had a terrible rule, "If a prisoner was too weak to work, he would get shot by the officers". Jack fought against his Hunger and the horrible food he got. Every time, he fulfilled the hard-work, that he got every day. Sometimes, he even did the work from other people, that had issues with doing it themselves. In the end, he finally was being released from the Concentration Camp, and then he moved to the United States, where he built up a new life.
