The book I am reading and for my book report is called ''WITCHES THE ABSOLUTELY TRUE TALE IN ASTER SALEM'' by Rosalyn Schanzer. The book takes place in Salem city in the year of 1692 on January.In the January in the book it was cold Each night the water inside the house would turn solid ice and a shrinking wind howled on, whistling through cracks in the house walls and floor bored.

Howled: Weep and cry out loudly
Floor bored: A long plank making up part of a wooden floor in a building.
