The Million-Dollar throw is another fantastic book by my favorite author, Mike Lupica.. This book is about football as in American Football. The young boy 13 year old in this book is called Zeek, he is the captain of his football team and has the most amazing throw ever! He can make the ball float right into your hands with a whip of his "magic arm". Everyone on his team calls him Brady named after Tom Brady a famous football player.
One day Zeek went to the sports store to finally buy what he had been saving for a football signed by Tom Brady himself. As he went to the counter to pay his friend spotted a sign saying Tryouts To Win A Million Dollars. Only Need To Be 13 Or Older!
she insisted that he do it, after hard convincing zeek agreed to do it. How it works is that he has to verse other kids, from what i understood he has to throw the farthest and if he wins he gets to go to the professional game with Tom Brady and throw the ball to some distance or through something he gets to win a Million Dollars. His family needed this money badly with his mom working 1 job while his dad working 2, he was ready to make a change!
