The Hunger Games - Aleksa Djuraskovic

The book 'The Hunger Games' was written by Suzanne Collins and its the first book of the 'Hunger Games' trilogy. This dystopian novel follows a girl called Katniss who spends the whole book fighting for her life and that is the main conflict. The hunger games forces 24 children to fight for their life and for Katniss to survive she needs to kill the other contestants. The conflict that she faces is having to see people around her dying and make sure that she does not get killed. The first obstacle that Katniss faces is when the strong kids from the rich districts in Panem corner her in a tree. Katniss overcomes this obstacle by dropping a killer wasp nest on them and gets a bow and arrow from them. The other obstacle she faces during this bloody competition is when her and Peeta need to face of with the final remaining contestant but before they can do this they get chased by dogs that are actually genetically modified to be deadly killing machines. Katniss overcomes this obstacle by managing to fight of the dogs and shoot the last remaining contestant.
