Nearly everyone by now has heard this name somewhere, and it is not surprising. Last week on Friday the 13th, which some believe to be an unlucky day, Costa Concordia (a ship) had an accident believed to be the biggest/worse accident ever happened to a ship. What the captain soppouse's happened, is he was trying to illuminate his ship and welcome everyone, however when he was saluting the people off board, his ship was to close to the shore and hit something and started sinking. The weird thing however, was that the captain himself wasn't on the ship when it started sinking. There are a number of registered calls of what the exact words of the captain were, I read them but that was in one of my classes so I don't remember them all. Many Pictures and Videos have been posted on you tube and shown on news to show what a bad accident this was.The person to be the fault among this huge accident is believed to be the Captain Francesco Schettino who says he was preparing the escape boats when he fell into one and couldn't go back onto the ship and help the others. He is now being held by the police.The captain now gave up and did tell what he believes happened, if it's true or not is a mystery and is still being figured out. This ship was considered to be one of the most luxurious ships and now will have big effects on economical point of views and political as well. For now there are more than 11 people dead which are most probably the ones who were trapped on the bottom of the ship which was first underwater. Here are some videos/pictures:
