Frankenstein #5

Tittle: Frankenstein w/ SAT vocabulary words + definitions
Author: Mary Shelley
Pages Read: 362/ 429

My book is divided into 3 volumes, each addressing a different part of the story. During the first volume, the climax is Victor creating the monster. The vents leaving up to that, would be him leaving home to go to Ingolstadt, to go to university. He studies natural science, and therefore is addicted to finding a way to bestow life on something lifeless. The following action of this part of the book, was him realizing what a terrible thing he did and how he had created a monster and resolving in running away.

The second volume, is centered around Victors brothers murder. Victor understands that even though he is at Geneva, his home, the monster will follow him and will want something from him. After Victors brothers death, Victor is fulfilled with misery, and understands that every death that he has to witness and that has been caused will be his fault. This part of the book, has a few climaxes, since its so long and its the middle, where everything is being revealed and the plot fixes and greatens. So, another climax is when Frankenstein's monster tells Victor his story and asks for Victors love. Victor, of course refuses and the monster promises to make Victors life living hell.

I am only half way done with the third volume, but so far the climax has been Victor refusing another request from the monster, which was ti create a female creature like the monster, so they could live together in the undiscovered world, peacefully and lovingly. The events following this is Victors friend getting murdered by the monster, and Victor being arrested for the murder. I think there was a foreshadowing of the events after Victors marriage to Elizabeth. Once Victor refused to grant the monsters wish, the creature promised to be their on Victors wedding night, and knowing how mad and lonely the monster is, he will probably attempt to ruin Victors life completely, by killing his one true love.
