Matilda Blog post #4

240/240
After school Matilda and Ms Honey went to the tiny cottage. While walking Matilda started talking with terrific speed. She was full of energy and thought she could move anything in the world. Miss Honey explained to her that she is an unbelievably precocious child, brilliant at math and reading. her sudden ability to move tings without touching them had something to do with brain power. However, Miss Honey thought that they should be very careful with that unknown peculiar phenomenon. She tried to calm down Matilda. The tiny cottage was out of the village, it looked like a doll house, set in a wilderness of nettles, blackberry thorns and long grass. There were no furniture or appliances in the cottage. Only a little camping stove called Primus, and two wooden upturned boxes for sitting. Matilda was appalled at this place as bare as a prison cell, without curtains or carpets. On the wall there was a cheep white wash used for stables and hen-houses.There was a great mystery in the house and Matilda knew it. She was right. After serving the tea Miss Honey told her the story of her life. Her mother died when she was 2 years old and her father invited her mother's sister, her aunt to come to live with them, and take care of Miss Honey. The aunt was unkind person, who treated her badly when they were alone. Miss Honey's father was a busy doctor and spent a little time with Miss Honey. Then her father died and the aunt became her legal guardian and the actual owner. After that Miss Honey's life was a real nightmare she grew up in the house alone with that demon. She was frightened and over the years dominated by her aunt. Treated like a slave, doing all the housework she had no courage to say no to her aunt. When Miss Honey got her teacher's job, she had to give all her money to the monster. Her aunt gave her a pound a week. Miss Honey rent ed this cottage and manage to get away from her aunt. At last she was free. The horrible aunt was Miss Trunchbull. Miss Trunchnull even produced a peace of paper supposedly written by Miss Honey's father. According to the paper the father left the house to his sister in law as gratitude for all her kindness towards his daughter. It was a forgery. After the story Matilda wanted to go home and she asked Miss Honey what were the first names of Miss Honey, her father and Miss Trunchbull. Father was Magnus, Miss Honey was Jenny and Miss Trunchbull was Agatha. Matilda decided to help her teacher. After 6 days of practicing she could lift a cigar and move it in the air. It was useful for her plan. The first Thursday when Miss Trunchbull took over the class Matilda carried out her plan. In the middle of the class the principal just grabbed the boy  by his ankle holding him upside-down and then suddenly a chalk started witting a message from Magnus to Agatha " Gve my Jenny her wages, Give my Jenny the hous, Then get out of here. If you don't, I will come and get you , I will come and get you like you got me. I am watching you Agatha!" Miss Trunchbull fainted and fell on the floor, the next they she didn't turn up in school. She took her personal things from the house and disappeared from the village. Miss Honey received the last will and testament of her late father from local solicitors. The family house known as The Red House and father's savings were hers. Matilda started visiting Miss Honey at The Red House every day. They had nice talk as equals enjoying themselves. In the end Matilda's family went to Spain because her father had to run away because he was a crook he sold stolen cars and the police was after him. Matilda didn't want to go with them she stayed with Miss Honey who was more than happy to look after her. The parents agree. Surrounded by  loving people Matilda lost her special power.
