The Hunger Games

By: Katarina Markovic                                                                                                              03/02/2014

Title: The Hunger Games, Author: Suzanne Collins, Pages: 375/375.

The climax of the science fiction novel occurs when Peeta and Katniss find out that there will be two winners for the hunger games. That was the climax in the whole story because that was when Katniss started searching for Peeta to team up with him, and help him since she knows that he has been severally injured. Once they had found each other they had to act like a real couple, since that was what the audience thought they were. Katniss had found Peeta in a very strange situation in which she was so close to stepping on him. He was covered in mud and leaves and camouflaged in a mud puddle. That was the climax because from that moment on they had to act like a real couple and take care of each other which in the book is so nicely described. An event that had happened before they have announced that two from the same district can be winners, was that Katniss had lost Rue. Rue had been killed by a boy from district one which Katniss killed the moment she saw what happened.
