Now Anne has anew teacher, a female teacher who she really loves and likes because she takes them outdoors, explains lessons clearly, and likes Anne very much. Also her and Diana are allowed to be friends and so they spend every moment together and one day Diana throws a tea party and the girls start daring each other and Anne falls off of a very high height and breaks her ankle. Everyday that Anne was injured she had at least now friend come and give her flowers for 1 month. Her enemy, Gilbert Blythe, still has a crush on Anne and she will not give him a single look. I sometimes wish Anne could just forget that he called her carrots and they could be friends, but Anne is as stubborn as ever and her tongue doesn't stop moving. She is constantly and always talking. Sometimes, in that way, I see a little bit of Anne in me.
Anne very much wants a dress with puffed sleeves because they are very fashionable, but Marilla insists that it is a waste of fabric and will not make one for her, however Mathew notices it himself, without Anne complaining or winning. He decides that for Christmas he wants Anne to have a dress with puffed sleeves as do the other girls. He buys the fabric and asks Ms. Lynde if she would make it, for he does not know how to sew. On Christmas day Anne receives the dress and is simply and utterly overjoyed. Marilla even admitted, to herself and Mathew of course, never to Anne, that the dress was nice and it looked very beautiful on Anne.
