The book I’m reading is getting more interesting as the children plan their play. At the beginning of the school term, they each got distracted thinking about the play. Fear of falling behind and the play being canceled, made them push it to the back of their minds. Everyone got their scripts written on time. It has been more work than the kids expected and they had a hard time working on it during school break while the VE Day celebrations were happening. All the parts have been assigned with Selina getting their neighbors and staff to agree to participate. Now rehearsals have officially started to begin at the Abbey. Lots of people have volunteered to help with their production in many different ways. They have even set a date for the play Thursday, 20 September when their Dad doesn’t have to work. He is playing one of the roles so they needed to work around his schedule.
