The Help

I have read a lot of The Help and it is really good! So Ms. Skeeter wants to write a book about maids in Jackson Mississippi she wants to know their story. She has frist asked Abileen becasue she has gone to her first and asked her if she could be interviewed for her book. But Abileen says no because it is dangerous is can get fired from her work and so much more. But eventually she decides to help her. Abileen is doing okay at work. Ms. Leflot the white lady she works for is now having another baby which means Mae Mobely will now not even get any attention from her mother. But Abileen is trying to be good and caring and telling little Mae Mobly that she is a good little girl. At that same moment in the book Abileen is trying to toilet train her. But Mae Mobly does not want to go so she makes Abileen go. So abileen goes to her toilet in the garage and goes to the toilet there. Then after she finished Mae Mobely wanted to go in her toilet so Abileen let her. Then during that day Mae Mobely was always goingto the toilet on her own little toilet bowl. But when Ms. Leflot got home Abileen wanted to show her that Mae Mobely now knows how to go to the toilet but instead Mae Mobely runs to Abileens bathroom. Ms. Leflot is furious! she even spankes Mae Mobely. And Abileen feels really bad.

Ms. Skeeter asks Abileen if she can try and get more maids to tell their stories becasue they need more maids for the book to be published. Abileen tries to get Minny to help and tell Ms.Skeeter to tell her stories. But Minny says she ain't tellin no white lady her stories! After a while Minny decides to help. But Ms. Skeeter still needs more maids. But then there is news that Mr. Evens a black man got shot by the KK. So now they know that nobody is going to help because of what has happened because nobody wants to get into trouble! Then Ms. Hilly who Minny use to work for, her new maid Yule May has gotten fired and has been sent to jail because s. Hilly acuses her of stealing a ruby ring of Ms. Hilly's. When Ms. Skeeter goes over to Abileens house to write about more of the stories she walks into her kitchen and there is alot of black people sitting there because the have all gathererd to pray for Yule May. When they are done about a dozen maids come up to Abileen and Ms. Skeeter and say that they will help with her stories.

That is all that I have read so far so I am really looking forward to seeing what happens next!
