ORR: The Dragons of Noor by Janet Lee Carey

       Three teens with different skills set out to save the worlds of Noor and Oth. The dreamwalker with one blue eye and one green eye is said to be connected with the earthen and skyward spirits, but she finds herself losing her ability to dream as the waytrees fall in her village. She goes to talk to the deyas (spirits that live in the tees) after a wicked wind steals young children from her village. Her brother Tymm follows her and is swept away by the wind and yells "Tesha Yoven!" which means bind the broken. Her family falls into depression, but Hanna is determined to find her brother whatever it takes. Taunier Hanna's best and literally only friend (she is despised by other villagers because of her eyes, the people of Noor hate magic) decides to come with her on her quest to find her brother. Hanna discovers that Taunier has secrets of his own when he herds fire from a candle the day before setting off. He denies it but Hanna argues with him creating a rift between them. The rift is mended when they set sail the next day bound East headed for the gateway to Oth to find the Windtaken children. Meanwhile Hanna's older brother Miles is training in magic to become a meer (a human who respects and uses the old world magic) and is called to the high meer's presence. The high meer has a vision of a girl with one eye green and the other blue dream walking. Miles tells the meers that the girl is his sister so he sets out home to find her and take her with him to find the Windblown children. He reaches home and realizes she and Taunier have already set off and learns the grave news of his brother being Windtaken. At this point most of the waytrees have fallen and the worlds of Oth and Noor are splitting apart. What will happen to Hanna and Taunier will the meers and Miles find them? Will the worlds split apart forever? Will Miles and Hanna ever see Tymm again? Read the book to find out!
