After Billy's death Jim knows that his old shipmates will come for his treasure. Jim races up to the captain's room and spreads out his belongings he takes half the money and an oil skin with something obviously important in it. He hears the men shouting and coming towards the house so he grabs his mother's arm and races out the back door. The men are too fast Jim dives under a bridge in a ditch along the path and positions himself to listen to the men. They talk of something called Flint's fist and Jim wonders what it could possibly be, the men scuffle around for a bit longer and then take all of the remaining money. Then they hear a warning signal from the lookout, they ignore it marking the lookout as a coward but then he gives the second signal, they grow uneasy but do not heed it. The third warning sounds then Jim hears an approaching group of horses. Pew (the blind beggar) panics and runs straight at one of the horses and gets trampled to death. Despite the death of the blind beggar Jim is relieved to see the men on horse back. He then finds a way to try and get to Livesey. He finds him and in the company of a few of the men who were on horse back opens the oil skin pouch he pulls out a book and a paper. They read the book aloud, it was just a record of all of the towns and ships they had plundered. Then they looked at the paper, it was a map. A treasure map. Will they find this island and the treasure? I guess you have to read the book if you're interested.
