I am currently reading Covenant, by Dean Crawford, a novel in which a very important human belief is challenged and ultimately proven wrong. The belief that we are "The only intelligent species of life in the universe" as stated on the back of the novel by Crawford. I made the decision to read this book, after buying it at the ISB book sale of this year, due to its enrapturing summary. Even though I have read only 155 pages out of the total 662, I am still sure that this novel will be one that I will enjoy greatly.
Archeologist Lucy Morgan uncovers a seven-thousand-year-old tomb that hold remains unknown to human kind. Immediately after her discovery she is still fully aware that it is something with the potential to completely rewrite history. Although before she could retrieve any of the remains she was abducted.
Lucy Morgan's discovery, of the seven-thousand-year-old tomb and her abduction are the main events of what I have read so far, in these 155 pages, but am certain that there are still numerous events in to look forward to in this story.
