Inkheart Part 4 (final part)

Author: Cornelia Funke
Genre: Fiction, Adventure
Pages: 385-534 (whole book: 534 pages)

What happened: Meggie, as you know is supposed to read the “shadow” out of Inkheart during a ceremony. Mortola wants her to practice and so she does. Because Meggie knows, that they won’t kill her, she is very brave and asks to see Dustfinger, who Basta now brought into the crypt. Meggie finds out, that Resa is really her mother and wants to save her even more. With Dustfinger’s help, they use Basta’s superstition to escape. He wants to take Resa with him, but she doesn’t want to go without Meggie, but Dustfinger doesn’t want Meggie to go with them. Dustfinger runs away without Resa and Meggie, but as they want to follow him, Flatnose comes because of Basta’s screams. Flatnose puts Resa back into her cell and Meggie back into her room to Fenoglio.
In the mean time, Fenoglio asked for paper and a pen, allegedly to draw. In reality, he needs is for his and Mo’s plan. This time, when Meggie asks him about the plan, he tells her. When Fenoglio is able to rewrite a story, so that for example a story will have a happy end, and Meggie can read someone in again in a book, it will work. They try and it works! That means, now Fenoglio needs to rewrite inheart, so that the shadow will no longer listen to Capricorn, but to Meggie. Capricorn will not expect that, and they need to look, that he doesn’t get to know anything about their plan.

Will Meggie’s mother die? Will the shadow actually come? Mo, who doesn’t know about her plan; will he come to safe her?? To find that out, read the book!!! It’s in the library.
I really liked that book. Something cool was that at the beginning of every chapter, is a part of another book, which kind of relates to what will happen in the coming chapter. I saw the movie a long time ago, but before I started reading the book. The ending is different, but I like it better in the movie. Still, it was a really nice and good written book!!! I hope you enjoyed my blog posts and I made you curious, so you will read the book yourself :)
