When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit

When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit
Genre: Historical fiction

First Anna and her family have moved to Switzerland. They are staying in a little hotel for a while until the move to a house. Anna is not feeling to well she has got the flu. She has had it for about 4 weeks now, and she is finally starting to feel better, so they then move into the house. Anna now has some nice friends and goes to a good school. But at school the girls usually play hopscotch and the boys mess around and play with other things. One day the boys are doing kart wheels but not properly Anna shows them how to do one and one her way home from school they boys start to follow her. They are throwing rocks at her! And their shoes! Anna is running as fast as she can, when she gets to her house she is very happy because her mother is there. She shouts at the boys and they run away. Anna and her mother are confused of why they did that Anna's brother said that when a boy is in love with a girl they will throw things at her. The next day the boys did not bother her she was happy about that. Another time Anna was playing with her brother and friends 2 new children have arrived and they start to play with them all but then their mother comes and shouts at them telling them not to play with Anna and her mothers because they are Jews. Anna really does not like any of this.

Anna's mother and father were thinking of moving to Paris. Anna and her brother would like to as well. Her mother and father leave them and go see what Paris is like they trust Anna and her brother alone. Also their next door neighbor will help them and cook for them. Her mother and father send them a postcard each day but one day Anna does not get one she is very scared and thinks something might have happened, and has night mares. But then after a couple of days her father shows up on their door step. He says that they have bought an apartment in a building and will now live their. Anna's mother 's staying their while her father is back and will take the kids and their things. Then next day they go to the train. They might be late. They run and ask a person who takes the luggage where the train for Paris is, the points to a train that is about to leave. Anna's father and brother are on the train and Anna is about to when she she's a sign that this train is going to Germany! Anna calls them to come off quickly, and they run off and were able to get their luggage. But they left one piece on there. The train is starting to go Anna shouts to the people ext to the luggage to push their bag off and they were nice and it fell of. They went and found the right train to Paris and are relieved. But Anna's brother wonders did this man tell them it was that train on purpose so Anna's father would get into trouble? When they get to Paris and go to the apartment where her mother is waiting for them all, Anna feels nice and safe.

In my opinion I feel as if it will be very unsafe in Paris soon. Because in other books that I have read like Sarah's Key and Hiding Edith, in all the books Paris is not very safe. So I hope Anna is safe. I feel as if they might be moving again very quickly.
