Dandelion Fire

Author: N.D Wilson
# of pages read: 466/466
Dandelion Fire, the second book in the 100 cupboards series starts off in Kansas with our brave protagonist Henry York. The book is set during July around the year 2009. As I previously mentioned, Henry has been staying at his Uncle and Aunt's house, when a few months ago he found 99 cupboards in his attic room. To make things even more confusing, the cupboards all lead to different places that may or may not be dangerous. Henry at some point in the book is taken to one of these places when the minor antagonist, Darius, steals him in his dream. Henry and his cousins, uncle, aunt, and friends constantly travel through the cupboards throughout the story and end up in the same place in the end; Badon Hill, where Henry and Uncle Frank were born yet were lost through the other side of the cupboards. Now, on to more complicated things, the conflict is more or less Man vs Man but also Man vs Supernatural because Darius is a wizard and Nimiane is an immortal witch that surpasses evil itself. In the whole series the main conflict is defeating Nimiane, the witch of Endor, however, in this book the two main problems are finding which cupboard Henry and Uncle Frank actually came from, and to prevent Darius to destroy their homeland. The second conflict actually comes near the end though because the attack comes after Henry makes it out alive with all his friends and family. After reading this highly confusing text on Dandelion Fire the reader may have lost interest in reading this. So have I. Hope you enjoy anyway!
