WORLD WAR Z by Max Brooks

HELLO FELLOW HUMANS OF THE 7TH GRADE

I am reading the book called World War Z which is an amazing book by Max Brooks that consists of 342 pages. World War Z takes place at some time in the future, but most probably only a couple years away as the people in the story still live lives much like ours and there are no flying cars. Max Brooks (He is his own character in his own book), travels to many different places as he is a doctor, and so the setting is constantly changing and there is not much of a very detailed explanation of the setting. Max grew up in a poor area of South Africa, it was dry and dirty and all along the dirt road were "houses" that were really more like shacks and pieces of plastic put up with stakes. As Max is a doctor he spends a lot of time in hospital which are usually clean, smell like vaccines and are white everywhere. Once the Zombie Apocalypse starts, Max is often in an army plane, or hiding in the wrecked, smelly suburbs that are crawling with the living dead.

The conflict in my story is man vs. society, except in this case, most of society is dead and is trying to eat every living souls brains out. A severe case of so called "rabies" started in New Dachang (China). A child was bitten by something unknown in the river, and he became the living dead. He was as grey as cement, his eyes were unfocused, didn't bleed and felt no pain when his arm was ripped off. He bit several other people, and those patients were taken to hospitals. This was of course a bad choice as those patients went rabid and bit everyone else in the building, they were thirsty for flesh and blood so went out to the streets to spread the plague. Sadly the zombies don't need to breath so them managed to swim across the pacific Ocean and other large bodies of water and infected more people. This is most likely why they call it the "Zombie Apocalypse"
