Setting and Conflict-The ABC Murders

The A.B.C Murders

The setting of this book was generally in five different different places. These places are situated in England.
Four of those five places were the places were all four murders were committed. The first murder was of an old lady named Mrs. Ascher committed in Andover. The second murder was of a young girl named Betty Barnard committed in Bexhill. The third murder was of a middle-aged man named Sir Carmichael Clarke committed in Churston. And the final murder was a mistake. The murderer stabbed the wrong person in Doncaster. He was supposed to stab Mr. Downes but instead stabbed another person. The last setting was at the Scotland Yard police station.
With lots of clues by the genius Mr. Poirot, the murderer turned out to be Franklin Clarke, Carmichael's brother. Franklin had framed it on another person that he committed the murder but failed and Clarke was arrested. He started murdering because he wanted his brother's wealth and he wanted popularity in England. So he decided to send four letters to Poirot with the signature A.B.C and that is were all the murders were committed. It was a genius plan and it almost worked.
