Setting and conflict - Post 2

The London Eye Mystery - Siobhan Dowd

There are many settings where the story takes place in this book, but I am only going to mention the main ones. The entire book takes place in London. London has many interesting sites that the protagonist's cousin wants to see. The London Eye and the Barracks by his house. The London Eye is where part of the story takes place. It is also where the conflict occurs. They keep coming back here to look for clues. Ted's house (protagonist's house) is where about half of the story takes place. This is the place Ted thinks of his theories for how Salim (his cousin) disappears. This is also where he finds out where Salim went.

The conflict of this book is Salim disappears and everybody. doesn't know where he is. He goes up on the London Eye, and than an hour later doesn't come off. Ted thinks of eight theories (later nine) of how Salim disappeared or how he got off with out them knowing. They have a couple clues to help them. They have souvenir pictures, pictures from his camera, a London Eye ticket, a testimony of Salim's friend and Salim's fascination with tall buildings.
