Hunger Games - Aleksa Djuraskovic

In the book 'The Hunger Game', written by Suzanne Collins, the protagonist and the antagonist are Katniss and Capitol or better said the society. We know that Katniss hates the Capitol and its people and that she volunteered to enter the annual Hunger Games because her younger sister, Primrose, who was the one that had been chosen. It is clear that Katniss is against the Hunger Games and would do a lot of things to stop this even that takes place every year. But throughout the book she doesn't do a lot to stop this event but instead she tries to save her life and Peeta's, who is her friend or boyfriend in a complicated relationship but lets not get deep into that. She proves herself as worthy and strong throughout the training. The protagonist in this novel is the Capitol/society which is led by president Snow. This is the antagonist because they are the ones that created this awful event that takes place every year and innocent people lives get taken away because of this. They are also in some way responsible for the huge difference between the rich and the poor in the rules.

  1. Great book choice!!! I hope you enjoy it. It is at times very sad but can be happy.

  2. Aleksa,

Your blog post gave us more of an overview of the book as it did not go much into detail about the antagonist and protagonist. Be careful when you write since you mentioned that the protagonist of the book is the Capitol... which I am positive is NOT the protagonist. You did a good job but make sure to proof read and add more detail for next time!
