Hush, Hush

Hush, Hush
Becca Fitzpatrick
250/400

For the upcoming book report I chose to read the fantasy novel "Hush, Hush," by Becca Fitzpatrick. The story revolves around a sixteen year old girl named Nora Grey, living in Coldwater, Maine. Nora lives with her mother, in an eighteenth century farmhouse, just on the outskirts of of town. Ever since Nora's father was murdered last year, it has deeply affected her in many ways including the fact that she feels like she is constantly being watched.
Nora has always been responsible, smart and not inclined to be reckless. She is worried about grades, fitting in and the condition of her Fiat Spider. Boys were never Nora's occupation until she meets Patch Cipriano and Elliot. There are certain events that occur ever since Patch's arrival, such as, a mysterious guy following her around in a skii mask as well as beating up her best friend (Vee). Nora believes that it is in fact Elliot that has been watching her and following her around but her best friend is positive that it is Patch.
Nora meets Patch because they are seated together as biology partners. Nora describes Patch as being tall, dark, annoying, but yet so intriguing and mysterious. Although, she leaves out the part Patch's lean muscular arms, broad shoulders and seductive yet playful mouth because it makes her uncomfortable to think about him in that way. All Nora wants to do is stay away from him but he always seems to be two steps ahead of her. She can feel his eyes on her even when he isn't around. She feels him nearby even when shes alone in her bedroom, but when that attraction can no longer be denied, she learns secrets about who Patch is and what has led him to her.
