Swimming to Antarctica

From my last blog post a lot has happened in my book since I read until the end, I'm not going to explain everything that happened so far but a quick summary for them. From the Catalina Island swim, her dream was to swim the English Channel and that's what she did, she flew to Dover, England and swam from there to a coast in France she was so excited, she was also hoping to break the record but it was just mainly completing her dream. When she completed her swim she broke the record for women's and men's English Channel swim, after that she got an invitation to go to Egypt to swim the Nile. When she got to Cairo, Egypt there were reporters and people from everywhere trying to get reports from her, Cairo was nothing like wherever she has been it was so different. One day in swim practice she meet a guy called Monir, Lynne never had such a relationship as she had with him. The day came of the Nile Swim as she jumped in it was disgusting there was trash everywhere and dead animals crashing into them every couple of seconds, Lynne couldn't even breath, it smelled so bad and she was swallowing all the water, though she was in lead Monir and a Syrian swimmer caught up and she lost the race ; she cheered on Monir along they're swim and because of that Monir won.
When she got back home she found out that someone broke Dennis and Andy's records, so Lynne decided that she would go back and try to beat that record. At the end she did break the record but it was tough because there was so much fog and she barely saw anything. After her Catalina Island swim she decided to go swim between the North and South Islands of New Zealand in the Cook Strait. Everyone on both islands cheered for her so much and it encouraged her more and more and made her feel better, during the swim the current was so strong and the waves were huge, but she made it and she was proud. For quite a while now Lynne has been wanting to swim the Bering Strait and they finally did a human research project on her to see if she can survive the coldness of the water.
She decided she wanted to swim in cooler and cooler places where she could get used to swimming in cold water between 32-38 degrees. So she swam the Strait of Magellan the most southern part of South America, and she succeeded too but there was a long delay cause of weather. Then afterwards she swam the Cape of Good Hopes in South Africa, during her swim she almost got swallowed by a tiger shark but luckily was saved by Dave her coach ( which was swimming right next to her ). She then decided to swim Lake Myvatn in Iceland, it was the coldest after the Strait of Magellan but it was still pretty cold. And then she swam in Glacier Bay in Alaska. Lynne's dream was to swim the Bering Strait so after all these swims she wanted to make that happen, since at this time Soviets and Americans weren't very friendly to each other and she went to the Soviet Headquarters in San Francisco and she was so nervous but after talking to the Soviets there were all sorts of answers from everyone.
Over the years she contacted so many people and no one ever replied, after some time debating on it there were times a yes and a no, but then Lynne got a call and it was a yes ! When she got to Alaska all the Inuits greeted them in and were so friendly, as she was preparing for the swim she remembered this is finally it my dream is coming true, as she started swimming it was the coldest experience of her life but she was so excited. When she passed the border and made it to the other side there were reporters from everywhere and everyone caused a celebration ! After her magnificent swim she couldn't just stop she swam in the Spree River ( from east to west Germany ) , The Beagle Channel ( from Argentina to Chile ), Lake Baikal ( deepest lake in the world and located in Russia ) , Lake Titicaca ( between Bolivia and Peru ), and the Gulf of Aqaba ( from Egypt to Israel ). An idea thought to her head that she will swim to Antarctica. And she made that happen, she practiced and practiced, she jumped, leaped, and flew into the water, she swam the Antarctic and made it !!
