VANISHING GIRL by Shane Peacock

After reading more pages about this mysterious book, I am making my second blog post.
Sherlock Holmes believes to have found a clue, a “watermark”.
Sherlock knows that watermarks aren’t made by stationers but by paper makers themselves, and that in the this time there aren’t so many paper mills in England anymore, Sherlock realizes that he doesn’t know much about water marks, so he decides to go Trafalgar Square to speak to the cripple Duplin, who is in the newspaper business and must know more about watermarks than him.
When he arrives to the Duplin house, he tells Sherlock Holmes that is more difficult to get the paper for the watermarks in London because the paper isn’t manufactured, and that now the paper is made in the town of St. Neots. Fast he goes to a Railway Station, he doesn’t have a ticket and his train is leaving in 2 minutes, despite the effort he losses the train, but he over hears a couple talking about the train of 4:25 direct to Peterborough, he realizes that is very close to his first very destination.
There is a family crowd, and Sherlock Holmes is sneaky enough to hide in the middle of the crowd and make it inside the train without a ticket, but there is a problem, a little kid saw him.
Sherlock Holmes gets spotted from the little kid who after a few minutes makes sure a guard finds him, to escape Sherlock Holmes has to throw himself from the train, and luckily nearby there is another station, and he makes it to the train again without a ticket, but it is not that simple the train guard from the last train changed train and is in the same train where he is, he tries again to jump but this time he gets injured, luckily there is a bunch of little children who tell him were St.Neonts is and he heads there.
When he gets there he finds the Mill he was looking for and with an excuse he gets into the mill, but doesn’t find the 2 face water mark he was looking for, and the boss of the watermill kicks him out, but instead he find another place where to find information, from an old man who owns many papers for watermarks, and just when the old man was about to tell him who made that watermark, but the old man makes a fast excuse and goes away! When he was going away from the shop he spots a haunted house on a hill! Now he need to survive until midnight to be able to investigate an abandoned hunted house. What is he going to find in there?
