Children of War

"Children of War", is a compelling collection of interviews by Deborah Ellis. This book focuses our attention towards the most vulnerable victims of the Iraq war. According to the book this war raged from 1979 all the way through 2003. "Children of War" mainly talks about the different perspectives of Iraqi children living as refugees in Jordan. These young refugees had been forced out of their  homes due to bombing, shooting and the threat of severe injury or even death. The setting for these narratives is crucial to our appreciation of their predicament.

Vibrant:  Vibrant means full of energy and life. An alternative meaning is quivering; pulsating.

For example: Jennifer Lopez is a vibrant pop star.

Sect: The word sect means a subgroup within a larger group.

For example: 7B is a sect within ISB Middle School.
