This story is about a man named Gary Paulsen and his life with dogs. This story takes place in South America, Philippines and Alaska It is how has Gray Paulsen lived thorough it with dogs by his side. The protagonist in this story is Gray Paulsen because he does what is best for others including animals he spent his whole lie with cookie, Snowball, Ike, Dirk,Rex, Caesar, Fred, Quincy, and Josh these dogs made his life easier they where always there for him and at least he would have six of them by his side. Some of them have bit him but that didnt prevent him from having them. he says they are good guard dogs and he will have dogs until he dies these dogs go thorough an adventure with him visiting in different places. The protagonist in this book is not really found out yet because not many bad stuff happen that are against him. The conflict in this story is how he meets other dogs that are strait and how hi faces them.
